Welcome to thebartman.com
It has been a long time since I updated the site
(as so many of you have told me). I figured now was as good a time
as any to re-design it.
We have been doing well here and have once again
let summer slip by without going camping :(. Roxi has been busy
with work (doing 2 peoples jobs) and keeping really involved with
Taekwondo. Both Roxi and I have taken up Taekwondo at the US
Taekwondo Center here in Aurora. We started back in February
of 05 and are currently Purple belts. We have both lost weight
and gained some real self defense skills. If you want to try Taekwondo
just ask us about it.
Mindy and John are doing well, with the exception
of John having to go back to Iraq for a second tour. John, we really
appreciate your dedication to securing our freedoms. It is guys
like you that make this country great. Thanks for all you do! Mindy
has been doing a ton of work with Ajax (her floppy eared Doberman).
They have been taking high scores in varaious agility training
events (although Ajax has complained about Mindy being a clod
and needing more agility classes) :).
Kevin and Gail have moved into a home of their
own. It has been a long time coming but they are finally owners
of a piece of ground in Springfield Illinois. Kevin's band Enamel has
been touring the country opening up for Airsupply. They have really
learned how to party with the 80's icons of love.
How about Mom you might ask.....Well she has had
a rough year with illness and loss of some of her most favorite
animals. Both Brandy and Banjo have passed on and Mom is currently
dog less for the first time in her life I think. We are not sure
if she is liking the new arrangement where her schedule is no longer
"Let dog out, Let dog in, Let dog out etc.". Her attentions have
been refocused on Cally her cat. So now it is "Let cat in, Let
cat out, feed cat, pet cat, Let cat in"
Our fiends Mike and Karen have been keeping us
busy this summer. If it weren't for them we would truly be old
fuddy duddies that have too many cats and sit at home watching
the news. Karen's new business re-designing are re-arranging peoples
homes has taken off. Her company, Re-Mix
and Re-Design has begun to grow and allowed her to express
her natural talents as a designer. She has really helped us class
up
our place that is for sure (and that is saying allot). Mike on
the other hand has gone away from exotic sports cars and back to
basic
raw
power.
He has
a beautiful
Yellow Cobra replica. It is nothing more than a engine with a shell
on it. The real upside to the car is the ease of obtaining in-expensive
parts. He has become the one of the most treasured shoppers at
Checker. They welcome him as if her were Norm at Cheers. "Hey Mike!
Your Back".
Our other friends (yes we have more than one friend
a piece) Joe and Tina (along with LT (actually now MT)) live in
California. They are becoming harder to understand with all the
words like Rad and Dude in their everyday speach. They hope to
move back to Denver soon and we will send the to remedial english
classes as soon as they arrive. Joe is working for Safeway (still).
He is trying to get them to move him back to Denver. He has been
applying for any and all internal Safeway jobs. Hell the last
job they turned him down for was doing 4 buyers positions at the
same time along with being the office janitor. They said he was
over qualified. Yes, they are buttholes. Tina on the other hand
is running a baby sitting service better known as "Office Manager".
She is bringing her high energy and dedication to a worthwhile
cause of in home health care (or something like that (personally
she is a professional shopper and Starbucks hound)). LT/MT is now
playing volleyball in the 6th grade. It just seems like yesterday
he was drooling on the floor here in Denver. Now he is a babe magnet
with his surfer hair and tan arms. Yea, he is just a Gigalo.
And one last note. Bryan Odell has come to his
senses. He has moved back from his vacation in Indiana. He was
getting a real hankerin for NASCAR and was about to buy himself
a John Boat with a 5hp trolling motor. It would have been beer
and rednecks on the lake for him. We are glad to see him back in
Denver and working at Murray Motors again.
